Koinonia Ribbon Cutting

Koinonia Ribbon Cutting Ceremony March 11, 2025

We had the honor and privilege to celebrate the many Trade Partners in our incredible Building Industry who rallied together to rehabilitate the Koinonia Family Services’ Crisis Resolution Center (CRC) in Loomis! The center for children was closed down and in desperate need for repair, including a full roof replacement (of two structures), major asbestos remediation, new flooring, and other renovation needs (installation of a French Drain and landscaping coming soon!). HomeAid Sacramento’s commitment to serving the community has helped Koinonia provide a safer, more comfortable space for the youth and families who rely on the CRC for vital support – and it would not be possible without Citadel Roofing and Solar, Auger Construction, Lawton Construction and Restoration, Timberworks Construction, Meritage Homes, and Ike’s Landscape. We achieved a whopping 100% in-kind donation of labor and materials for this over $100,000 project, making it possible for Koinonia to apply their much-needed funds to their operational costs.

We were joined by the Mayor of Loomis, David Ring; Supervisor Bonnie Gore; Former Supervisor, Jim Holmes; the office of Supervisor Shanti Landon, Placer County Probation, and Robert Dugan of the Placer County Water Agency, among many other supporters of HomeAid Sacramento and Koinonia Family Services. As the Charitable Arm of the North State Building Industry Association, we can always count on our Government Affairs team to join us in support. We are grateful to all who attended!

The Crisis Resolution Center offers short-term residential care and intervention services for youth experiencing family challenges, providing them with a structured and supportive environment. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our partners, the facility now has essential improvements that ensure a safe and welcoming space for those in need.
